Manuscript Features

The following folios are extant: 1-6; 8-21. The actual order of folios is as follows: 1-6; 9; 8; 10-21. Some folios are slightly damaged in the margins. The writing has been rubbed off somewhat in some places.

Before the text proper begins, there are four more folios, all of different shapes and written in different hands, which have no connection to the Jvarasamuccaya (exps. 4-8). On the last folio of these (exp. 7 bottom to 8 top), different instructions on cooking (pākavidhi) are given, such as for various types of rice gruel (vilepī, peyā, yavāgū).
