Manuscript Features
This MS includes the Sūtrapāṭha of Pāṇini's Aṣṭādhyāyī and some Vārttikās of Kātyāyana or, rather, short passages of the Mahābhāṣya on those Vārttikās. Both Sūtra-pāṭha and the portions of the commentary are not differentiated by any means, but appear alike between double daṇḍas. Fol. 1 is missing, fol. 2 starts with a portion of the Mahābhāṣya on Pāṇ. 1.1.21, followed by Sūtra 1.1.22. The first Pāda of the sixth Adhyāya ends with a sub-colophon after 6.1.157 (thus leaving out Sūtras 6.1.158-223). The second Pāda of the sixth Adhyāya is completely missing, the MS continuing with 6.3.1. Of the fourth Pāda of the sixth Adhyāya, Sūtra 6.4.175 is missing.
The right half of fol. 65 is broken off, the text thus being interrupted in the middle of Sūtra 8.4.65. Likewise, part of the colophon is lost.
On fol. 64v, the Accession-No. of the NAK as well as the misleading title "Kalāpa-vyākaraṇam", written in Devanāgarī characters, have been inscribed.
Fol. 65v as well as an additional cover-leaf which has been microfilmed before fol. 2 bear some notes in Maithilī script not concerned with the MS proper.
