namas tasyai jaganmātre, kumbhayonipriyāśriye |

namaskṛtyā(!) śivān devīṃ, sarvvabhāgavatāṃ śubhāṃ ||

purāṇaṃ saṃpravakṣyāmi, yathoktam ṛṣibhiḥ purā || ||

ṛṣaya ūcu(!) ||

bhagavaṃs tvaṃ samastasya, dṛṣṭādṛṣṭasya tattvavit |

purāṇārtham vayaṃ sarvva āgatā bhāvabhāvitāḥ ||

kathyatāṃ yatra ghorādyā bhūtāḥ sāṃpratadānavāḥ |

bhaviṣyāś ca vinā śiṣye devī devanamaskṛtā ||

indrasya ca divaḥ prāptir hṛtarājyasya dānavaiḥ | (fol. 1v1–4)

ṣaḍāvarttaṃ prakurvvanti pratyakṣā bhavate śivā |
