Manuscript Features

The following fols. are damaged at the margins: 43; 93–94; 202–205. Fols. 148–149 have broken in two, of which only half a fol. is left respectively. On some fols. the writing has been rubbed off partly, in some places the fols. have darkened.

Each sub-colophon includes a number indicating the “ślokas”, i.e. the number of granthas (1 grantha = 32 akṣaras or syllables) of the respective chapter.

lokā〇rthaṃ hariṇā mayā suvihitais seyaṃ budhai〇r gahyatām<ref name="ftn2">This and the preceding verse seem to be Haribhadra’s, the author auf the commentary Aloka on the Aṣṭasāhasrikā Prajñāpāramitā. The editor of this text includes a number of like Vasantatilaka verses at the end of Haribhadra’s commentary, heading them Praṇidhānam. Cf. especially pāda c–d of the second verse with another of Haribhadra’s:

krudhyatkuñjarakumbhapīṭhadalanavyāsaktaśaktyātmanaḥ

puṇyābhyāsakṛtābhiyogajavaśāt saṃpat samādāyinaḥ |

rājye rājyabhaṭādivaṃśapatitaśrīdharmapālasya vai
