Manuscript Features

This MS comprises a portion (i.e. Adhyāya 5-8) of the Bhāṣāvṛtti, Puruṣottamadeva's commentary on Pāṇini's Aṣṭādhyāyī.

Fol. 1 is missing, the text starts on fol. 2r commenting on Pāṇ. 5.1.8. The MS ends on fol. 162 commenting on 8.4.48. Thus, a few folios are missing at the end of the MS, namely those on 8.4.49-68.

Fols. 156 and 157 are slightly damaged, some 8 akṣaras being thus lost both on the recto and the verso side.

Exposure 2 shows the cover leaf of the MS, with a note giving some information as to the title of the text, author, contents, foliation, script, and accession no.
