Manuscript Features

Fol. 11 has come between fols. 19 and 20. The scribe has skipped fol. “14”, the text running continuously from fol. 13v to 15r. Above the foliation in the top of each verso, the abbreviation sū° ṭha° for sūtrapāṭha, followed by the number of the respective adhyāya, has been written by the scribe. Similarly, the word rāma° has been written above the foliation in the bottom of the right-hand margin of each verso. There are a few corrections in the margin.

Moreover, taking all the other factors as month and so on into account, the only possibility of verifying this date seems to accept the given vikrama samvat 1851 as running year (vartamāna) and calculate with the expired year (atīta) 1850. In this way we get Sunday (ravivāsara), the 10th of November in A. D. 1793. This corresponds, however, to śāka samvat 1715, the month being regarded as pūrṇimānta, i.e. ending with the full moon.</ref> ||    || cha ||
