Manuscript Features

Missing folio: 21; the left-hand upper margin and the right-hand margin of fols. 1v–2v (exps. 3t–4t) and the right-hand margin of fols. 3r–19v (exp. 4b–24t) are damaged with the loss of text. The amount of damage in the right-hand margin decreases folio by folio. The cover page is also damaged. The letters on it are illegible.

The Nepali language of the text is antiquated. (Apparent scribal errors in this part of the text are not noted below in the Excerpts.)

The maṇgalācaraṇa of the text (six lines on fol. 1v) is written in Sanskrit.

Part of the colophon is written in Newāri, which describes malla kings of different kingdom and death of śrīśrīnivāsa mallarājā.

On the exp. 61 (which is damaged) is written:

svasti śrīsamvat 1926 sālakā- //śudi ro- /// brahmā ju- ///guru (‥)dma vaṃsālasiko śrīlakṣmi na- ///ndra prathā- /// josi… etc.
