Manuscript Features

This MS constitutes a commentary on the Uṇādisūtra of the Cāndra system of grammar. It is attributed to Candragomin himself in some MSS.

The present MS has been composed out of two MS, which differ both in the style of writing and foliation: exposures 3 to 37 above show fols. 1v–35v of the first MS, commenting on Uṇādisūtra 2.7. These fols. are numbered on the right-hand margin. Exposures 37 below to 83 show fols. 31r–75 of the second MS (numbered on the left-hand margin) commenting on Sūtra 2.8. up to 3.114. Thus, the numeration 31 to 35 figures twice. At least one fol. is missing at the end, since the commentary on 3.114 breaks of after the first akṣara.

The writing on a few fols. has been partly rubbed off.
