Manuscript Features
The beginning (fols. 1-11) and the end (fols. 273ff) are missing. In the middle fols. 173-230 are missing, that corresponds to 10.55.25-10.75.34 in the text. The part of the manuscript beginning with fol. 231 has been written by another hand. So it is also possible that this a combination of parts of originally independant manuscripts.
At the end there are two extra folios: one numbered 290, with an unidentified text, and another one, which is without foliation, because the edge is broken.
290 begins: °(tmyo) 'bravīd bhīmasenaṃ chinvikaṃ(?) vājino dhunā |
290 ends: samāliṅgyābravīd rājā na diṣṭyā jātaś ca te kutaḥ | yajñā te 'vabhṛthasnānamataḥ kuru mahāmate || || jaiminir uvāca || ṛṣibhiḥ sahitaḥ kṛṣṇaḥ sugaṃ°
The last one begins: °⁅sampa⁆tsamṛ⁅ddhā⁆yāṃ (ju)ṣṭāyāṃ vṛṣṇipuṅgavaiḥ |, that is Bhāgavatapurāṇa 10.90.1. It probably belongs to yet another manuscript, because the writing looks different and there are 6 lines to the page.
The first part (up to fol. 172) of the manuscript contains an abrigded version of Śrīdhara's commentary, that means some parts are left out. The parts that are there show variants compared to the printed version, as does the mūla. The second half of the manuscript contains only some excerpts of this commentary (example: fol. 254), most folios are without. In both cases the commentary is written with smaller letters in the margins.
Writing is rubbed off on many folios, though in most places still legible.
