Manuscript Features

The main story is the same as the prose version of the Maṇicūḍāvadāna edited by Handurukande (1967) with additional sections C, D, E, and G (cf. Handurukande 1976, pp. 285-273) found in the Somavāśivratamaṇicūḍamāhātmyanirdeśavarṇana, the 17th chapter of a Kapiśāvadāna manuscript (No. 75) in the Tokyo University Library.

There is a gap in the text on fol. 39r4-5. The omitted text corresponds to pp. 82.6-84.14 of Handurukande's edition.

Fols. 43-45 are wrongly numbered. The text runs 44 → 45 → 43.
