Manuscript Features

This MS consists of the Sūtrapāṭha and the vṛtti of the Cāndra system of grammar.
Fols. one and two are missing, the text begins on fol. 3r in the middle of the commentary on Cāndra Sūtra 1.1.5. Fol. 133 has been microfilmed before fol. 132, fol. 134 is missing altogether.
Fols. 3–8; 11 and 12 are slightly damaged, a few akṣaras of the first or last line respectively, as well as some marginal annotations, thus being partly destroyed.
There are two small lacunae, to wit on fol. 40v, where the text breaks off in the middle of the commentary on Sūtra 2.2.54 and sets in again commenting on Sūtra 2.2.75. On fol. 47v parts of the commentary on Sūtra 2.4.11 up to Sūtra 2.4.13 are missing.
On fols. 78r and 84r, the scribe has deleted small portions of the text.

At the end of the MS (fol. 149v), the author of the commentary has been styled Śrīmadācāryadharmadāsa. This and the following annotation, however, was made by another hand:
